Fitting & Installing Marine Exhausts.

Our engineers (with backgrounds in marine exhaust applications) will visit you to discuss the specific fitting requirements for your craft. We will explain in detail the design of your marine simple custom fit exhaust system covering all safety issues such as insulation/lagging, and water/air cooling. We will also discuss how to maximise the gains from using a Vortex™ marineflo™ exhaust.

As well as outperforming other exhaust systems Vortex™ marineflo™ resonators also take up less room. The smaller size of the Vortex™ marineflo exhaust could mean there is no need to cut holes in vessels to get exhaust parts into the engine room if access is restricted

Vortex™ marineflo™ exhaust selection varies according to the power of the engine. For fishing boats normally the size required would be between 15cm and 20cm diameter body and approximately 50cm long. For a barge the resonator can be as small as a Vortex™ car exhaust, thus saving space and being easier to fit and place unobtrusively. At the other end of the scale, we have fitted exhausts on Bigger ships which have exceeded more than 70cm in diameter and more than 2.5 meters in length!

Case Studies

We have custom built exhaust systems on many marine vessels. Projects involved a few weeks of exhaust customisation, fabrication, and fitting. After fitting a Vortex™ Exhaust Resonator the vessels saved up to 25% (1/4) of their fuel for the same power output.

We have designs and materials to allow Vortex™ marineflo exhausts to be used on very powerful diesel engines that you might find on a tugboat - up to 3000 horsepower.
